In order for your vehicle to run properly, you need a timing belt that’s in good condition. The belt synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft so the engine’s valves and pistons move in sync. When your timing belt wears down and breaks it will typically result in bent valves and possibly piston and cylinder wall damage.
The lifespan of a timing belt is specific to your car and engine configuration. To avoid this unfortunate incident it is suggested you have your vehicle inspected- something our shop can easily provide.
